New doors

Opened this year, and all open this week.

Mochi donuts, now in Bridgeport Village

Mikiko Mochi DonutsSuburbs · Bridgeport Village

Portland's rice flour donut shop opened its Bridgeport Village shop on September 22, and it replaces the old Beaverton spot. The whole menu is gluten free and dairy free. Start with the passion fruit curd or the horchata pudding, then grab whatever the October specials case is doing.

Flying out? There's a Mikiko at PDX too, before security, so you can board with a box.

Torched s'mores, open late

Marsh & Mallow Co.SW · Downtown

After a year of popping up in Director Park, this s'mores shop opened a real storefront on SW Yamhill in mid October. The s'mores are gluten free by default, and the flavors rotate with the seasons. It runs until 10 most nights, which makes it a rare downtown dessert stop after dinner.

Celiac? Ask firstWe couldn't confirm a dedicated kitchen, so ask how they handle cross contact before you order.

Ramen on NW 23rd, mostly made gluten free

Baka Umai Ramen DenNW · Northwest District

This little ramen den opened on NW 23rd this year, and the owner reworked the recipes so most of the menu can be made gluten free. Brothy bowls, veggie options and a thoughtful sake list make it a cozy rainy night pick.

Ask about the noodlesWe don't know yet whether gluten free noodles get their own water. Ask, and tell us what you learn.

On the move

Favorites with new addresses. Update your maps.

DesiPDX lands at the ModHaus pod

DesiPDXSE · Division

One of the city's best gluten free carts now parks at ModHaus on SE Division, a new pod with an indoor cafe and bar that opened in September. That means a warm seat for your butter chicken bowl all winter.

Order thisThe cardamom chai chicken plate, plus a side of the house pickles.

Fair food, new fairground

Honey Butter Country FareN · Arbor Lodge

The 100% gluten free corn dog cart now sits outside Arbor Beer Lodge on N Interstate. The corn dogs, fried chicken and funnel cakes made the trip, and the funnel cake flavor rotates with the season.

Know before you goShort hours: Wednesday through Saturday, afternoons only. Check before you drive.

Better Half reopens, bigger, in Slabtown

Better HalfNW · Slabtown

The sandwich shop moved from N Fremont into the old Food Front building on NW Thurman, with a parking lot and room to spread out. Many of the sandwiches can be made on gluten free bread, and the vegan options are deep.

Shared kitchenGluten free bread is an option, not a separate kitchen. Celiacs should ask about the press and the fryer.

New things to order

Old favorites, new reasons to go.

Pizza night, three nights a week

New Cascadia TraditionalSE · Hosford-Abernethy

Portland's dedicated gluten free bakery now turns into a pizza spot Thursday through Saturday evenings. There are take and bake cheddar chive biscuits in the case too, which solve breakfast for the week.

Know before you goPizza runs Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The shop is open until 8 those nights.

A whole brewery you can drink from

Mutantis Cult BreweryNE · Concordia

Newly in the guide: a 100% gluten free brewery in Concordia, with a fire pit, board games and beers that celiac beer nerds drive across town for. Start with the seasonal stout.

Make it a crawlPortland has a handful of gluten free breweries now. This one is a strong first stop.

Onion rings, finally

Cozo GrillN · St. Johns

Also new to the guide: a vegan cart in St. Johns frying gluten free onion rings, curly fries and mushrooms in gluten free panko. The burgers are the real deal, and the family behind it runs a neighborhood food pantry too.

Order thisA burger with a split basket of onion rings and fried mushrooms.

The preorders are live. Here are the deadlines.

Pies, rolls and stuffing mix

How we picked

Openings and moves come from local food press and the places themselves, and we confirmed every address and its hours on Google on October 29, 2026. If something has changed, tell us on Instagram and we'll fix the card.

Celiac? Read the pins.

A green pin means nothing with gluten is made in that kitchen. Dashed blue pins are shared kitchens, so ask how your order is made, every time.
